I don’t understand why these people care so much about the difference, but I guess if they wanna spend a lot of money on the real thing, let them. These imitation watches, they look the same to me. They tell time, ain’t that enough? I seen ’em, they sparkle and shine just like the real ones, I reckon. People say you need a special light, a UV light to see the difference. I don’t know what that is.
Rolex GMT-Master II
This Rolex GMT-Master II, it’s got that two-tone thing. They call it “bezel.” Like two colors on the watch face. That’s how you know it’s one of them, they say. All them Rolex watches with two colors got that line down the middle. That line is the important part, folks seem to care about that. And this “Pepsi” one, that’s the red and blue one. If you want to get a real nice watch, you better look out for that line, they say.

These watches, they’re hard to get, I hear. That’s why they’re so special. And folks want ’em real bad. So, the price goes up, just like when everyone wants the last piece of pie at the church social. These people, they say the Rolex Pepsi is worth a lot of money now. More than it used to be. I reckon they are quite popular.
Now, if you ain’t got all that money for a real Rolex Pepsi, there’s other ones. They look the same, they got that red and blue, but they ain’t Rolex. They are like the high imitation ones. Cheaper, but they still look nice. I saw one the other day, it looked just like them fancy pictures. They call it alternative, or something like that, it is just another word for copycat.
Specialty Stores
These specialty stores, they’re the only place you can get a real Rolex, I hear. But I bet you can find those high imitation ones other places, too. Maybe online, maybe at the flea market. I don’t know. But if you want the real deal, you gotta go to one of them fancy stores. And they look at you real close, make sure you ain’t gonna steal nothin’. They’re all dressed up, like they’re goin’ to a wedding. It’s a whole different world in them stores. It is not like a normal shop I go to.
So, that’s what I know ’bout these high imitation Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi watches and the specialty stores. It’s a lot of fuss over a watch, if you ask me. But I guess if you got the money, and you want a fancy watch, that’s your business. Me, I’ll stick to my old watch. It tells time just fine. And I ain’t gotta worry ’bout no special lights or two-tone bezels or any of that. It is just a watch, nothing special.
