You know what? I finally pulled the trigger on that OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 45.5mm that I’ve been eyeing. Let me tell you, the whole process was quite an experience, and I kept some notes along the way to share with you all.
First, I started digging around for any info on this specific model. Found out it’s got the Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 9900 movement. Sounds fancy, right? Apparently, it beats at 25,200 vph, has 54 Jewels, and a 60-hour power reserve. That’s more than enough for me.
Then I started browsing some well-known watch seller websites, checking out what’s available. I noticed they often mention “Wire transfer” as a payment method and some even offered financing through Affirm. Noted that for later, but that would cost more.

I kept looking and found another listing for the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph 600m Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 45.5mm 215.32.46.51.01.004. Same deal with the wire transfer and financing options.
There was also this titanium version, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Chronograph 45.5mm Co-Axial Master Chronometer Grey Dial Titanium Men’s Watch 215.90.46.51.99.001, going for $9,265.00. Free shipping on that one too. Not the model I wanted but a good price.
One thing I noticed is that many of these watches have a 45.5 mm case, and some are made of grade 5 titanium. I made a mental note to check the case material. Because my target model isn’t made of grade 5 titanium.
Decision Time
After weighing my options, I decided to go for it and I chose the cheapest one. I mean, who wouldn’t want to save some money, right? Plus, this is my first time to buy this expensive watch, so why not.
And guess what? It finally arrived! The whole process was a bit of a whirlwind, but I’m happy I took the plunge. This OMEGA is definitely a keeper.
