You wouldn’t believe the day I had yesterday. So, I finally decided to pull the trigger and get my hands on that OMEGA Ω Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary watch from their official store. It’s been on my radar for a while, you know, ever since they announced it back in 2020. I mean, who wouldn’t want a piece of history like that, right?
First thing in the morning, I called up the Omega boutique. I had to make sure they had it in stock. The guy on the phone was super chill and confirmed they did. Good start, I thought!
Then came the fun part – the drive to the store. Traffic was a bit of a nightmare, as usual, but I blasted some tunes and eventually made it. I walked into the Omega boutique, and there it was, showcased like a little piece of the moon landing itself.
Getting Down to Business
A nice lady helped me out, and we started chatting about the watch. I knew a bit about it already – like how the first Snoopy watch in 2003 was limited to 5,441 pieces, and the 2015 White Snoopy was even more limited, only 1,970 pieces. This new one, the “Silver Snoopy Award” 50th Anniversary, isn’t limited, which is kind of cool because it feels like it’s more about celebrating the mission than just being exclusive. But I heard that the earlier ones were also limited, one representing the time for the mission and the other one being the year of the award.
I tried it on, and man, it felt amazing on my wrist. We talked about the movement, too – it’s got that OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. Sounds fancy, huh? I just know it’s supposed to be super accurate and reliable.
Sealing the Deal
After admiring it for a good while and asking a bunch of questions, I decided to go for it. I paid the retail price, which, yeah, wasn’t cheap, but hey, it’s a special watch. They boxed it up all nicely for me, and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks.

Of course, I had to take some pictures and share them online. I even posted it for #speedytuesday, because, why not? It’s probably the best watch to show off for something like that. It’s got Snoopy on it, for crying out loud! How cool is that!
Anyway, that was my big adventure for the day. It might seem like just a watch to some, but to me, it’s a reminder of that incredible Apollo 13 mission and a pretty awesome piece of design. I’m stoked to finally have it in my collection. And, I think I will wear it for a long time, as the non-limited production suggests.
