Today I got my hands on this new watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω Co-Axial Master Chronometer GMT 45.5mm. It’s a pretty big watch, and I’m excited to see how it works.

First, I wound it up. It’s got this manual-wind movement, so I had to turn the crown a bunch of times. It felt smooth, not too hard to wind. Then I set the time and the GMT hand. The GMT hand is for a second time zone, which is cool for someone like me who travels a lot.

Look at it

  • Case: It’s big, 45.5mm, and it feels solid. I like the brushed finish, makes it look tough.
  • Dial: The dial is clean and easy to read. The hands are big and have this luminescent coating, so I’m guessing it will be easy to see in the dark. Also, the numbers are clear, so that is a plus too.
  • Strap: I opted for a leather strap, and it’s comfortable. It feels nice on my wrist.
  • Movement: Inside, there’s this Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre, whatever that means. But I did a bit of digging, and I found out it’s certified by METAS, which seems like a big deal for accuracy. Also, you can see it’s movment if you look at the back of it, it’s pretty cool to see the gears move.

I wore the watch all day. It’s a bit heavy, but I got used to it. I checked the time a bunch of times, and it seemed to be keeping time perfectly. I even tested the GMT function by setting it to a different time zone, and it worked great. So far I have noticed that the time is super accurate, it hasn’t lost any time.

In the evening, I took the watch off and placed it on my nightstand. I noticed that the hands were still glowing, which is pretty neat. I think this is a watch that’s built to last.

Overall, I’m happy with this CopyOMEGA. It’s a big, solid watch that seems to be very accurate. The GMT function is a nice bonus, and the whole thing just feels well-made. I’m going to keep wearing it and see how it holds up over time, but so far, so good.

I’ll keep you guys posted on how this thing holds up. It’s a cool piece, and I’m excited to see how it performs in the long run. Maybe I’ll even take it on my next trip to see how that GMT hand really works in action!
