Okay, folks, let me tell you about this little project I’ve been working on. It’s a remake of the PRADA Symbole Tote Bag, you know, the classic style.
First off, I gotta say, I’m no professional, just a guy who likes to get his hands dirty and make stuff. So, I saw this PRADA bag online, the Symbole Tote, and I thought, “Hey, I can probably make something like that.” It’s a classy-looking bag, simple but elegant, and I’ve always been a fan of that kind of style.
So, I started by gathering some materials. I didn’t go for real leather or anything fancy like that. Instead, I found some durable fabric that had a nice texture to it. I also needed some sturdy handles, so I repurposed the handles from an old bag I had lying around. For the lining, I used some leftover fabric from a previous project. Always good to recycle, right?
The Nitty-Gritty
Next, I got to work on the pattern. Now, I’m not great at drawing, but I managed to sketch out a basic design based on the pictures I saw online. I made sure to measure everything twice, ’cause you know what they say, “measure twice, cut once.” Then I cut out the fabric according to my makeshift pattern. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start.
- Sewing the pieces together was the most challenging part. I dusted off my old sewing machine, which I haven’t used in ages, and got to work. It took some trial and error, and a few messed up stitches, but I finally managed to sew the main body of the bag.

The End Result
And there you have it, my homemade version of the PRADA Symbole Tote Bag. It’s not an exact replica, of course, and it’s got its imperfections, but I’m pretty proud of it. It’s got that classic look I was going for, and it’s surprisingly sturdy. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it’s holding up pretty well.
This whole project was a fun little experiment. It reminded me how much I enjoy making things with my own two hands. Plus, it’s always satisfying to create something that’s both stylish and functional. It showed me that you don’t need to be a pro or have fancy materials to make something cool. Just a bit of creativity, some elbow grease, and a whole lot of patience.
