So, I got this wild idea the other day, right? I was scrolling through some online store, and I stumbled upon this PRADA Cahier Bag. It looked so cool, and I thought, “Why not try to remake this?” I mean, I’m no expert, but it seemed like a fun project to kill some time.
First things first, I went online and started looking at all sorts of pictures of this bag. You wouldn’t believe how many different styles there are! Shoulder bags, mini bags, you name it. I spent a good chunk of my day just browsing and getting a feel for what I was getting myself into.
Then, I gathered all the materials I thought I’d need. This was a bit of a guessing game, to be honest. I hit up a few local stores, grabbed some leather, some metal pieces for the details, and a bunch of other stuff that looked like it might come in handy. I probably overdid it, but hey, better safe than sorry.
- Went online to check out the original PRADA Cahier Bag.
- Looked at different styles – shoulder bags, mini bags, etc.
- Gathered materials from local stores.
- Started cutting and piecing things together.
- Realized it was way harder than it looked.
- Spent hours trying to get the details right.
- Got frustrated a few times but kept going.
- Finally finished and was pretty proud of the result!
Next up, the fun part – actually making the bag. I started cutting the leather, trying to follow the shape I had seen online. Let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as those online tutorials make it look. I messed up a few times, had to start over, and there were moments I thought about just giving up. But I kept pushing through.
The detailing was the hardest part. Getting those metal pieces to fit just right and look like the original was a real pain. I spent hours just fiddling with them, trying to get the angles and the placement perfect. I even tried to find some similar-looking things in stores to make it easier, but no luck.
After what felt like forever, I finally finished it! It wasn’t a perfect replica, not by a long shot, but I was pretty darn proud of myself. It actually looked like a bag, and a pretty decent one at that. I even showed it off to a few friends, and they were impressed, which was a nice little ego boost.
Honestly, the whole process was a rollercoaster. There were times I wanted to throw everything in the trash, and other times I felt like a crafting genius. Would I do it again? Maybe. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Plus, now I have a cool, kinda-unique bag that I made myself. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
I saw this same bag on TikTok. It’s all over the place. It’s like, everyone’s got one. There’s even this hashtag, “Prada Re-Edition,” with millions of views. Crazy, right? I even heard that celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Sofia Richie Grainge, and Bella Hadid are into it. Makes you wonder if they know how hard it is to actually make one of these things from scratch! Italy is the cheapest place to get one apparently, and “prada” means “giving, yielding.” Just some random stuff I picked up along the way.
Anyways, that’s my little adventure with the PRADA Cahier Bag remake. Hope you enjoyed hearing about my struggles and triumphs! I saw another PRADA Cleo Bag Original, maybe I should try it!
