Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here YSL Le Carre Satchel bag. Folks call it fancy, but I just call it a purse, ya know? It’s one of them things city gals like to carry around.

Now, I ain’t no expert on these highfalutin’ things, but from what I hear, this YSL brand, or whatever they call it, has been around for a good while. Started by some fella named Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre somethin’-or-other. They make all sorts of fancy clothes and such, but this here bag, that’s what we’re talkin’ ’bout.

They say this bag is a classic. That means it don’t go outta style, like them bell bottoms I wore back in the day… those things came and went quicker than a jackrabbit! But this here bag, they say it’ll stick around. And folks like that ’cause they don’t wanna be buyin’ new purses every year, ya see?

Another thing they say is that these bags hold their value. Now, I don’t know much about that, but I reckon it means you can sell it later for a good price if you need the cash. Sounds like a good investment, I guess, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me, I’d rather put my money in a good ol’ savings account, but to each their own, I always say.

  • It’s well-made: They say these bags are put together real good, with attention to all them little details. They use good materials and all that. I guess that’s why they cost so much. You ain’t gonna find no shoddy stitching on one of these things, that’s for sure.
  • It’s got style: City gals like it ’cause it makes ’em look fancy, I reckon. It’s got that YSL thing on it, though some folks say some of their bags don’t have big logos. This one, the Le Carre, I heard it ain’t got no big ol’ letters shoutin’ out the brand. Kinda classy, maybe?
  • It’s expensive: Lordy, these things cost a pretty penny! More than I make in a month, I betcha. But I guess some folks got money to burn. They say you can get ’em cheaper on eBay or somethin’, but I ain’t never messed with that online shoppin’ stuff. Seems too risky to me.

Now, I saw one of these bags online, the Black Le Carre Satchel it was called. Black, like a good pair of work boots. It had some gold-tone hardware, which I guess means the little buckles and clasps and such. And it had a shoulder strap, so you can carry it without usin’ your hands. Handy, I guess, if you gotta carry groceries or somethin’.

They say this bag came out in the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, designed by some fella named Anthony Vaccarello. I ain’t never heard of him, but I guess he’s a big deal in the fashion world. He used canvas and some colorblock pattern, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, but I bet it wouldn’t hold up to a day of workin’ in the garden.

Some folks online, they were arguin’ about whether this bag was worth the money. Some said it was just okay, and that you could get a better bag for the same price, or even a little bit more. One person mentioned a Prada bag, which I guess is another fancy brand. They said it was smaller, but had a new logo. See, that’s what gets me. Seems like these city folks are always fussin’ over logos and such.

I even heard you can sell these bags at consignment stores, you know, them places where you sell used stuff. But they take a cut, like 30% or more! And if it don’t have that YSL logo on it, they might not give ya much at all. Seems like a waste of money to me if you are not going to show off that logo. But then again what do I know? I carry my stuff in a good ol’ sturdy canvas bag I got from the feed store. It ain’t pretty, but it gets the job done, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg!

So, that’s the scoop on this here YSL Le Carre Satchel bag, as best as I can tell ya. It’s fancy, it’s expensive, and city gals seem to like it. Me, I’ll stick with my feed store bag. It’s more my style, and it leaves me with more money for important things, like feed for the chickens and maybe a new pair of overalls.

But if you got the money and you want a fancy bag, I guess this one’s as good as any. Just don’t go askin’ me for fashion advice, ’cause I ain’t got a lick of sense when it comes to that stuff!
